| During his academic years, Yaseen qualified with CTA placing 23rd overall in his year and went on to complete both Part 1 and 2 of the Board Exams, APT, and the first semester of the Advanced Programme in Taxation in one year. After qualifying as a CA(SA), Yaseen went on to complete the Advanced Programme in Taxation and has completed the RE 1 and RE 2 exams in order to register as a financial services provider. He has also completed a 12-month estate agency internship.
After gaining experience in the corporate world, Yaseen decided to take the leap and resign. With self-made capital and little resources, he decided to venture into private practice. Starting off with a portfolio of five clients, Yaseen has built up in just four years to servicing over 40 clients, including high-profile clients with turnovers in excess of R1 billion per annum. Yaseen is also the financial director of a non-profit organisation based in Durban and is involved in many activities including the distribution of disability aids, feeding schemes, disaster relief programmes, and several other outreach activities. In his spare time, Yaseen can be found playing league cricket and in pursuit of perfecting a steak; but most importantly, he is a loving husband and dad to two little girls. |
