CELEBRATING A YEAR OF SUCCESS
As we approach the end of 2023, it’s a time to reflect, celebrate, and acknowledge the remarkable journey we have embarked upon together. This year has been nothing short of extraordinary for SAICA and the CA(SA) designation, as we have achieved several key milestones that have reinforced our global standing and commitment to excellence.
A crowning achievement this year has been the restoration of the CA(SA) and SAICA to the number 1 position globally. This accolade is a reflection of our collective dedication to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. It speaks volumes about the quality and calibre of our members, whose expertise and ethical conduct continue to set the benchmark for the accounting profession worldwide.
2023 has also been a groundbreaking year in terms of leadership and diversity. The appointment of our first female CEO, Patricia Stock, marks a significant milestone in our journey towards inclusive and transformative leadership. Her dynamic leadership style and innovative vision are pivotal in steering SAICA towards new horizons of success and inclusivity.
This year, we also celebrated a decade of the Top 35-under-35 Awards, recognising and honouring the bright minds within our community. This prestigious award continues to spotlight the incredible talent and potential of our younger members, who have demonstrated exceptional skill, innovation, and a commitment to societal impact. We also celebrated our outstanding trainees through the Trainee Trailblazers Awards. This has been a resounding success, highlighting the remarkable contributions and potential of our trainee accountants. These young professionals have showcased not just technical prowess but also creativity and leadership, promising a bright future for our profession. Congratulations to Wamashudu Mukheli, trainee at BDO and founder of Campus Connect for being announced as the overall winner.
