Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of members of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) will be held at the SAICA offices, 17 Fricker Road, Illovo, Gauteng, on Thursday, 28 May 2020 at 09h00.

Registration
Members are required to utilise SAICA’s electronic platform for both the proxy and “on-the-day” voting processes. Due to the COVID – 19 precautions, Member participation will be facilitated through a webcast of the meeting.

To logon, it is imperative for eligible members to first register online. To register, Members require either their South African ID number or their passport number as it appears on their SAICA Profile which can be viewed on the SAICA website by clicking on ‘Membership’ and then ‘Profile Details’.
Registration and proxy voting
The e-voting solution will be accessible from 09h00 on Thursday, 7 May 2020 until 09h00 on Tuesday, 26 May 2020 to allow for voter registration and proxy voting. No proxy voting will be allowed during the 48 (forty eight) hours preceding the AGM.
“On-the-day” voting
Eligible Members will be able to logon to the e-voting solution at the commencement of the AGM proceedings from 09h00 on Thursday, 28 May 2020 for “on the day voting”. This would be necessary for those physically present and those connecting remotely. Access to the e-voting system will close at the conclusion of the voting process at the AGM.
A valid One Time Password (OTP) will be required to participate in the e-voting process on the day of the meeting. If members did not pre-register as proposed above, members will receive an SMS with a OTP when they log in. Members will need to use this OTP in conjunction with their SAICA ID to access the e-voting solution.
Only bona fide SAICA members in good standing are eligible to attend the SAICA AGM, participate in the proceedings and vote.
