At 34 years of age, Tinashe’s goal is to make someone feel that they want to do something, and they can do it − Inspire.
Tinashe shares some of his key lessons and advice as an entrepreneur.
What led you to venture into the footwear industry?
In 2024 there needs to be a shift to build social enterprises and make an impact on the community around us. There has never been a more explosive time in the world for social impact.
The inspiration for my focus on sneakers stems from my experience at a rural primary school where many children lacked shoes. Witnessing them borrowing shoes even for basic needs like using the toilet left a lasting impression. In response, I pledged to make a difference, hence why I started the brand. For every five pairs of shoes we sell, we donate one pair of school shoes (through our giving partner, Samaritan Feet SA).
