The last two years were about survival; we merely paused so many plans. We have had a troublesome time seeing the wood from the trees. We have struggled to get out of the fog, but we finally see some light. And we have to use it.

The middle is filled with why
Any journey can only occur if the right things drive you. Once it gets complicated, you need your compass aligned with your pressing ahead. Make sure that after you write down your purpose, you take the time to visualise it. You need to ‘see’ it so clearly; it feels natural. This can be a great source of motivation and focus when things challenge you.
End with the vision
Stare into the stars. What do you want to achieve? Can you define your steps into one-year buckets? I find planning too far ahead means I lack focus. If I asked you to wash your car by Friday, you will likely wash it on Tuesday night. This is not an indictment; this is being human.
Design your plan into bite-sized chunks, chunks that tie into the vision but are driven by the ‘why’. Setting goals gives you long-term resilience and short-term motivation. It focuses on your knowledge acquisition and helps you organise your time. Write down your steps and how they flow into one another. I love a Trello board for this.
